The central guest areas include 2 lounges, a bar, a dining room and a feature rock pool. Small intimate guest areas have been created to retain warmth and seclusion for individual guests. Sweeping patios provide the ideal venue for delicious English breakfasts and light luncheons with the boma reserved for fire-side dinners.

Ivory Tree Game Lodge accommodates a maximum of 128 guests in 60 standard rooms and 4 executive suites

Standard Suites

60 twin bedded suites, some of which can be converted into a king-size bed configuration. Each suite features a covered patio area, with en-suite bathroom and outside shower. The suites include mini bar fridge (stocked on request), tea & coffee facility and climate control air conditioners. Each Standard Suite is tastefully decorated with African décor. Two adults can be accommodated in either 2 x Single Beds or 1 x King-size Bed configuration.

Luxury Suites

4 suites, all of which include king-sized beds in the main bedroom and an adjoining lounge area with satellite TV, and convertable couches able to accommodate two children. Each suite features a covered patio area, with en-suite bathroom and outside shower. The suites include mini bar fridge (stocked on request), tea & coffee facility, climate control air conditioners and a splash pool.

Executive Suite

The one exective suite incorporates every conceivable luxury, the Executive Suite features 1 x King-size Bed with luxurious linens and beautiful pops of colour throughout. You are welcome to bask in the glorious African sun on your private patio and relax in the plunge pool for your exclusive use. The Suite also has a Nespresso machine and flat screen television with selected DSTV channels.

Delicious meals are served in the main restaurant. Before your morning game drive coffee and biscuits will be available and when you return from the game drive an amazing breakfast buffet will be awaiting you. Early afternoon you can enjoy a buffet lunch that will meet everyone’s tastes and exceed your expectations. Dinner is another delicious meal, it is normally served in the boma but if the weather is not good then dinner will be served in the restaurant.

Game Drives

Striving to maintain high levels of personal attention and guest comfort, the 10 seater game drive vehicles are custom built ensuring optimal panoramic visibility. Amongst the most experienced in the Pilanesberg, the rangers and hosts are committed to bringing you close encounters with a wide variety of big game. The park is home to a wide variety of general game including the Big 5, in addition both species of rhino occur, namely black and white, and cheetah and wild dog. Each group of guests is assigned a personal guide who is tasked with interpreting the sights and sounds of the African bush. Your guide is always around to ensure that you remain comfortable during your stay at Ivory Tree Game Lodge.

Archery is one of the ancient activities offered at Ivory Tree Game Lodge using modern equipment, including modern re-curve bows. The guide will brief you on safety and share a story about the San hunters, so you can fully enjoy this opportunity to learn the technique of a challenging art form.
Air gun, as part of the adventure-filled activities offered at Ivory Tree Game Lodge, you can enjoy the satisfaction of shooting at a very small target using pellets! An experienced guide will carefully discuss safety instructions on how to use the equipment correctly to ensure you a thrilling experience in the safest possible way.
Internactive Drumming. Join in and feel the vibrations from head to toe! For centuries, drumming has been a part of African culture as a form of expression and as one of the ways in which communities communicate with one another. A minimum of five and a maximum of 120 guests can be accommodated for this fun-filled activity.
Quad Biking. Experience the ‘real thing’ as you ride your way up and around natural obstacles on our exciting quad trail! No experience is required, as our guides take you through proper instruction to safely enjoy this 1 hour ride hour. You will be led through the bushveld and down to the community where you will meet villagers and discover the Lodge’s involvement in a community project.
