Football frenzy
For a few hours on Sunday the 25th November, South Africa was the centre of the universe as thousands of international delegates, hordes of journalists and hundreds of millions of television viewers witness the 2010 Fifa World Cup preliminary draw in Durban.

Among the dignitaries will be South African President Thabo Mbeki, Fifa President Sepp Blatter, some of the best footballers of all time and representatives of more than 110 Fifa member associations.
"It will give viewers all around the world an excellent taste of what lies in store for them in 2010," said Fifa General Secretary Jerome Valcke, who conducted the draw. "170 territories have booked the TV feed for this event, which is a new Fifa World Cup record and yet more proof of the huge interest in South Africa 2010."
