5 Day Safari in Kruger National Park

This fully-inclusive custom made package for the discerning traveler will include return scheduled flights, private aircraft charter or transfers in luxury vehicles, four or more nights accommodation in a luxury Five Star game lodge in the Greater Kruger National Park or staying at one of the recently awarded private concessions in Five Star opulence for the ultimate safari experience.

Itinerary

Day 1

  • 07h00 we meet you at your hotel in Johannesburg or at Johannesburg International Airport

  • Travel in a luxury vehicle trough the "Transvaal Highlands" eastwards towards the Lowveld.

  • Visit the scenic Blyde River Canyon and if time and weather allows stop at other scenic spots along the Panorama Route

  • Continue down the Abel Erasmus Pass into the Lowveld and a stop for lunch and time to visit a curio gallery.

  • It is now only a thirty minute drive to Kuname River Lodge.

  • After enjoying a relaxing drink on arrival, time to settle in then it is "safari time" we board an open game tracking vehicle to explore the African Bush looking for some of the many species that make this area home.

  • At sunset sundowners are enjoyed in the bush, followed by a night drive using spot lights to look for the elusive nocturnal animals.

  • We end the evening with dinner in a traditional "boma"

Day 2

  • An early morning wake up call and a welcome mug of
     coffee before going on the early morning game drive.

  • Return to the lodge for hearty breakfast.

  • After breakfast time to relax or a siesta before a late lunch.

  • Meet your Ranger/ field guide for tea before departing on the afternoon/evening safari.

  • At sunset sundowners are enjoyed in the bush, followed by a night drive using spot lights to look for the elusive nocturnal animals.

  • We end the evening with dinner in a traditional "boma", around a camp fire. Talking about the day’s exciting game viewing.

Day 3

  • An early morning wake up call and a welcome mug of coffee before departing on the early morning game drive.

  • Return to the lodge for hearty breakfast.

  • After breakfast there is time to freshen up then say farewells before leaving for the next luxury lodge in Thornybush or Timbavati Game Reserves.

  •  After arrival at the lodge and check in there is time to enjoy the camp surroundings.

  • Meet your Ranger/ field guide for tea before departing on the afternoon/evening safari.

  • At sunset sundowners are enjoyed in the bush, followed by a night drive using spot lights to look for the elusive nocturnal animals.

  • We end the evening with dinner around a camp fire. Talking about the day’s exciting game viewing.

                                      

Day 4

Day 5

Day 6

  •  A very early morning wake up call and a welcome mug
    of coffee with your ranger before departing on the early morning game drive.

  • Return to the lodge for hearty breakfast.

  • After breakfast there is time to freshen up then say farewells before leaving the lodge and travelling a short distance to Hoedspruit Airport for you flight to Johannesburg. Flight SA1222 departing at 14h00.

  • We will meet you on you arrival at Johannesburg Airport and transfer you to the Westcliffe Hotel, with stunning views of Johannesburg's northern suburbs.

  • Rest of the evening and dinner at leisure.

                          

 

Day 7

  • Enjoy a bit of a well earned sleep in.

  • After breakfast at 09h30 I will meet you and take you to Johannesburg International departures for your flight to Livingstone Zambia departing at 12h15

  • On arrival at Livingstone Airport, 13h50, you will be met and transferred to the Royal Livingstone Hotel.

  • After check in time to enjoy the magnificent Victoria Falls and sit on the “deck” and enjoy a sun downer watching the sun set over the Zambezi River

  • Evening and dinner at leisure

Day 8

  • Enjoy a traditional African breakfast.

  • More time at leisure to enjoy the surroundings and possibly a treatment at the spa or rivers edge.

  • Lunch at your leisure

  • Meet the transport at the reception for the short drive to the African Queen

  • Enjoy the afternoon sun set cruise up the Zambezi River

  • Return to the hotel for dinner at your leisure.

Day 9

  • 10h00 at driver will meet you at the reception and drive you to the Kazungula Border crossing.

  • After clearing Zambian customs they will ferry you across the Zambezi River to Kasane. Once you have cleared Botswana customs a representative from Nguni Voyage will meet you

  • They will escort you through the Botswana border again and enter Namibia, where you will board the boat. The border crossings are fairly quick.

  • Nguni Zambezi Voyager is a luxuriously appointed, fully serviced and activity driven floating 5 star lodge, that operates on the Zambezi and Chobe rivers.

  • Once aboard have a welcome drink and settle into you cabin.

  • Relax on the deck and enjoy a sundowner at one of the best places to watch the sun set, followed by a delicious dinner.

               

Day 10

  •  A day of leisure on board the Nguni Zambezi Voyager.

  • A chance to spot some of the many bird species from the luxury of the boat.

  • Try a bit of catch and release fly fishing.

Day 11

  • A day of leisure on board the Nguni Zambezi Voyager.

  • Watch the elephants from up close in the river.

  • Make use of the smaller tender boats to enjoy the river and get really close to nature.

Day 12

  • After breakfast and the morning game activity and check out.

  • 10h00 the Nguni staff will assist you through the Namibian border into Botswana and take you to Kasane where you will meet the scheduled transfer

  • From Kasane you will be assisted through the border procedures and ferried across the Zambezi River back to Zambia, a short road transfer to the Livingstone Airport

  • Arriving at 12h00 in time to check in and clear customs for flight departing at 14h00

  • Arrive in Johannesburg at 15h40 in time to clear customs and check in for your return flight.
    OR you could get a connecting flight to Cape Town for a 6 to 10 day tour of Cape Town and the Garden Route
